located amidst a high-needs population

Teal Street Center is ideally located to serve those in need. Situated next to The Glory Hall’s new homeless shelter, and across the street from Smith Hall’s low-income senior housing and St. Vincent de Paul’s transitional housing units, Teal Street Center will help lower barriers to access. In addition, the convenient location close to the Juneau airport will allow for clientele in neighboring communities to easily take advantage of the services at Teal Street Center.

Teal Street Center will be sited across a shared access driveway from The Glory Hall’s new homeless shelter. A new bus stop on Teal Street will reduce foot traffic in the neighborhood and improve access for clientelle. In addition, CBJ has budgeted for sidewalks and lighting along Teal Street, which will further improve access and the character of the neighborhood.
